It has been a long time since I have posted here… this is disappointing because I was aiming to be more regular with these posts, and I seem to have done the opposite. But hopefully it will be up and up from here.
Life does tend to get in the way a bit, but in an effort to catch up with this year, here is a little snippet of the things I have been up to since my last post.
I performed a concert as J.Mayall and the Fluid Wall Ensemble at the Hamilton Gardens Arts Festival. This featured a bunch of new music I have been writing. A great turn out to hear new original music – and in such a beautiful setting! Here are some photos by Dan Inglis.
I went on tour with The Funky Monkeys for the Picton Maritime Festival.
Worked in the studio with Mr Roberelli on their new album!
My gorgeous wife was the lead (Tracy Turnblad) in Hamilton Operatics HAIRSPRAY – so I was full time dad for a while!
My son Wolfgang turned one!
Started lecturing on composition at Waikato University
Worked on the film score for Play Dead, Invaders and Winter Storm with The Scorelocks Collective.
Worked on set for Chasing Time Productions new film ‘Serve and Protect‘.
And finally I have been writing more music for my PhD to be featured in a concert at the end of this week! (but more on that next post…)
Oh, and here are a couple of new tracks…
A remix for SOUND THE OCEAN:
And a new demo:
