On Sunday afternoon (4th oct) at 2pm I will be presenting a concert of live multimedia at Toitu Otago Settlers Museum. It will feature some brilliantly talented local performers – Nick Hollamby, Ian Chapman, John Egenes, and Sophie Morris. If you are in town come along.
Sound the Ocean (a Hamilton based band) has just released their album called “WAIT FOR THE MORNING”. A couple of remixes I did are included as bonus tracks when you download the album! Get your copy today.
A few films I worked on with some regular collaborators are going to be screening at a new international film festival based in Te Aroha. If you are going to be in the area at the end of October, go along to the Arohanui Film Festival. More info here: http://arohanuifilmfestival.businesscatalyst.com/
And finally, Dan Inglis, a superb and talented human being, friend and regular collaborator has just released the footage of a side project he has been working on for the past couple of years. It is 1:12 scale Art Deco dollhouse. Watch a video tour of the property here:
On Tuesday 4th of August I gave a concert called ‘Imagined Landscapes’. It was a collection of music I have composed, most new, some revisits of older stuff. Lots of multimedia things, and some multi-sensory elements exploring smell and taste.
Things continue to be busy… but rewardingly so. Working on music with Chris Lam Sam, a performance workshop with the NZTrio, collaborative discussions with food scientists and perfumers, a trip to Nelson for the Composers Workshop, and collaborations with Otago Arts Fellows.
Also coming up:
A concert of multimedia music at Marama Hall (Otago University). Featuring vocalists Nick Hollamby and Sophie Morris, as well as collaborative works with Dan Inglis, James Sutherland, Majella Cullinane, Scott Granville, and Ben Woollen. Tuesday 4th August.
